Have you lost a loved one because of an addiction? you can help others by letting them know how you deal with the pain of such a loss.

Years ago when I was a small child, I lost my grandpa to addition. He like his Alcohol " mostly moonshine" This was my Mom's dad. Mom said as grandpa was dieing he ask Mom to hand him a bottle, she said I don't have no bottle, but grandpa could see bottles of alcohol floating around the room that was sad. He had got some poison moonshine that was made using a car radatior, which poisoned it. Mom delt with the lost through getting he strength from God, and her Mom whom was a good Christian woman. But we as a family have never forgot the story she told us about him asking for one of those bottles of moonshine floating just out of his reach.

yes i lost my 2nd husband to taking to much medications and drinking alcahol with it the only comfort i had and maybe it will help someone else,,it worked for me anyway==i was a devoted church member and still am and my pastor told me at the time that the only thing we can do in a time like this is to put your trust in god and to stand by this person and love them and show them support,,pray for them but you have to realise that people make their own choices going through life and there isn't much you can do to change this fact,,they have to live with their choices and all we can do is be there to help them along their path through life.

I lost my baby son on Feb 26 because of addiction.  He had 4 overdosaes before he past away.  When he past he had decided to get hiws life straight or try to and i think that he also was plannin to take his own life if he could not acomplish what he wanted.  He had  hurt all his life lookin for what he already had which was love.  I loved him so much as did his brother

and sister.  I truely believe that God took him to save him and to that i Will always b grea6tful to God for i know he is in
Gods arms and love now.  It is so hard to accept such a lot but we have to trust in God for he is love and always shows his love to us as it takes time sometimes for us to see it.  His name was Justin

I lost a cousin to pills, yes, he overdosed, he was 43. My father drank too much, he quit before he died, but they couldn't repair the damage done. We stand by our lost loved ones, help as much as we can, give them into God's hands, the path they take is ultimately theirs.
